So, a couple of days ago, I posted about having sent my sim on a blind date for Love Day, only to be greeted by none other than Vlad wearing an eggplant costume. You can imagine my shock and confusion.
In the moment, I didn’t know how to react, so I closed the game without saving (I had last saved right before setting up the date)
The next day, when I wanted to play again, I couldn’t escape Vlad. Every time I tried going on a blind date, my date was always Vlad. Every. Single. Time.
So I decided to hear the very clear message the sim gods were trying to send me and I went through with the date. Here’s how my sim’s night went:
(read the individual captions below the pictures for context)
Guess he heard us all calling him Vladdy Daddy and decided to commit 🤷♀️
My sim had been giving a tulip to every customer who walked into her pottery shop that day, and she still had a couple of them left, so I gave Vlad a tulip as a greeting. I’m pretty sure he liked it.
Then she kept Vlad chatting outside while he was starting to feel increasingly more steamy… and not in the way you would expect during Love Day 👀
He pulled a random piece of clay out of nowhere, idk
I thought my sim wouldn’t want me to do this because she has the Idealist trait, but it doesn’t seem like she was very bothered by it. This random lady sure as heck wasn’t.
In fact, this was my sim celebrating the fact that she completed the “go on a date” holiday tradition for Love Day as the date ended.
Mind you, the date had ended because Vlad was dead lol
Pretty sure the sim in white mugged Vlad’s corpse of his piece of clay. How rude.
By the time Grim was done with the reaping, a crowd had gathered. It looks like I have severely misjudged my sim's priorities. It also didn't even cross my mind until just now to maybe try pleading for Vlad's life.
Afterwards, unbothered as she was, my sim chatted with Grim, inspired him with her business story, bought him a drink, and gave the reaping a 5 star rating because she was impressed by him (though it was really more like a 3.5 imo)
There was suddenly a puddle right there. Pretty sure Grim peed his robe. Awkward...
I figured he doesn't receive very many nice gifts, if any at all, so my sim gave Grim her last tulip. He didn’t appreciate it. My sim was no longer impressed.
Went to get a tattoo, but ended up getting two instead. One was of a vampire Freezer Bunny on fire and the other of a skeletal hand holding a flower. Both very fitting for the events of the night. I'm pretty sure I screamed in excitement when I saw them. This was a bit awkward, as my sim had tried flirting with the tattoo artist in the past and it turns out that she’s only into men :(
Gave her a flower nonetheless, with no underlying meaning. My sim was now out of tulips, so we gave her a rose my sim had received last week from a previous bad date.
Went home ready to call it a night, but decided to do some pottery first. That is when I heard a knock at the door and nearly shat my pants upon seeing who it was. Caleb freaking Vatore.
He was giving mixed signals at first and I was worried he had come to punish my sim for killing Vlad, or maybe he was just here for the urn (which I had obviously yoinked and did not plan on giving away) but I think he was just sizing my sim up to see who was the mortal who had been so daring and skillful as to kill an ancient master vampire.
And then he started throwing confetti around, so I think he was here to thank me for ridding the world of Vlad. Still though, I wasn't silly enough to invite a vampire in my house after midnight, so the entire conversation took place outside. (sorry for the bad angle, though I suppose that could be said for every one of these screenshots)
He made an impression of someone and I'm pretty sure he was mocking Vlad.
And now I think he might be enamored with my sim. I mean, just look at the various faces he made while they talked and tell me you don't see the love in his eyes. I'm just thinking that all of this happened on Love Day, and my sim has had very bad luck in love until now, so maybe Cupid finally decided to step in and give her a chance. Using his app was, after all, the thing that started the chain of events which led to meeting Caleb.
After Caleb left, my sim finished the candle she was making. This design kinda looks to me like a figure catching on fire, so I decided to place it next to Vlad’s urn, who now watches over my sim as she does her pottery, and serves as a fantastic piece of display in the shop. How very cozy. Also, my sim seems to have enjoyed this day, so I suppose it was a good one.
What do you guys think? Should my sim give Caleb a chance? Also, should I give Vlad a funeral?
