What are the overall opinions in 2024 of no Man's sky?

So I'm sure we've all heard over the last almost decade the updates that have been consistently coming out and that the game has been getting" better ".

My question, for those of you who have played enjoyed it or hated it... Is it a good game to play? I'm constantly tempted because I enjoy these types of games. I'm worried, however, though that the mining/ crafting can be a little tedious and after a first one or two planets of using my laser to dig I will be bored.

What would you guys say to someone considering buying this game?
