What has shamanism revealed to you about religion, etc.?

So i’m very new to the idea of shamans and only read a little comprehend the whole gist, so forgive me if i sound ignorant or don’t know enough about shamanism to be leaving post this on this sub.

But just some questions:

-How has, if it did, shamanism dismantled religion for you? specifically christianity? did you still hold onto any religious ideas and practices that are still useful? Considering how often religion often translates to or is a stepping stone into spirituality. In addition to how often times mediums and near death experiences sometimes explain religion has little significance when we are all spirit and no longer bound to this realm. In that same breath though near death experiences often have stories that reveal religion is not just for humans but is the reality of everything.

-What has shamanism taught you about sexuality, specifically how it’s practiced as humans? (and i do realize some have said spirits don’t care about gender and sexuality as it’s only seen as an issue as humans, so this question may seem irrelevant too. but from my understanding, considering there still seems to be preference of expression if a spirit so chooses to, then surely they have an opinion when it comes to sex? considering sex is more than Just for procreation yet organizations control how we are free to express it- for example how much christianity has no problem explicitly banning a gay couple to experience love making and just wanting to know that connection with their partners at that spiritual level that sex can sometimes be for us. Hence what spirits doesn’t care about humans restrict, ban, demonize. all for the sake of “natural law” ordained by god. is that how it works?…)

I just feel what may be only issues as humans and irrelevant with spirits won’t help the fact issues like these continue to dominate our energy and time and damage potential understanding of what is beyond this human life. They shouldn’t have to be brought up on EVERY sub remotely spiritual, i admit, but considering the injustices still, it feels we maybe need more clarification until they are no longer relevant to us either.

Sorry again if this is the wrong subreddit to ask this but i figured i try anyway. please be kind!
