I got a weird, specific question
I just started Sekiro and downed the first boss, now I'm at the Blazing Bull. My question is, how do I keep the balance between blocking (constantly holding down L1) and deflecting/parrying (tapping L1 at the right moment). As far as I understand only deflecting depletes the enemies posture, while constantly blocking does not. Constantly blocking depletes my own posture faster too, I feel. Can I just forget about blocking at all times? Their are attacks I can't deflect, but those ones I can't block either, so jumping or actually dodging seem like the only logical/viable option instead of trying to deflect/parry every other attack.
