Obsessed but gets quiet

Hello everyone! As a Scorpio rising(Virgo sun), dating a Scorpio sun stellium with Libra stellium, I am seeing periods of quiet withdrawal when he gets in his head too much or is trying to figure something out. Not fully withdrawing as I would get a response if I texted most of the time. But it may only be a thumbs up response. We don’t live together, but usually talk on the phone once a day and message throughout the day. He says he is always thinking about me and sometimes it interferes with work. Does this seem like normal Scorpio behavior? Does this seem obsessive? Just a woman trying to ride the roller coaster of life here. Thanks for any insight!
