Different country of entry?

Hi, Can I enter a different Schengen country as a first point of entry instead of the one that issued my visa? The reason is a change in plans, initially my friends wanted to visit country X but now they changed their mind and want to visit country Y. Since im the only one without a passport that doesnt require a visa, i have to follow along sadly. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks
