Moving at 50 and single to Sacramento?

I live in LA and despite working remote and not having to commute (and living in a walkable neighborhood) I'm over the sprawl and feeling trapped due to traffic. Sacramento is on my radar for a medium sized city, more ease to get around and ore ease to escape to go on day/weekend hiking trips.

My concern is - are there a lot of groups for hiking etc with people my age? Ex - lived in Albuquerque for a year - not many groups especially at my age. Here in LA and Denver there are a lot.
