"I'm a rookie right now, and I'm only paying attention to opposing pitchers and hitters at a time when I don't know what's going to happen every day, so I think it's really ridiculous to be tied to Ohtani," he said. "I think I can tell my children as a source of pride just to play at the same time as such a player when I retired later."
