Organic traffic - B2B company

I am working for a B2B saas company and want to grow organic traffic. Most of our traffic gets classified as direct, referral ( which has grown immensely at least over 20%) compared to organic search traffic which is at the 2% mark. The website is decent - I have optimised on-page SEO and technical SEO/site speed is above average as well.
How can I grow organic traffic? We publish 1 blog per month, do a few LI posts and have subdomains that get decent visits, since it's a niche product - student information software, I don't see much search volume for keywords related to my industry and not sure how I can grow it. Would love some tips and suggestions.
