2 AM-ish car(s) revving followed by banging, maybe?

Anyone else heard this around Keizer? And the banging sounded like shots fired but also some of them sounded harder, like tiny explosions? Some 3 or 5 or them and then some more revving. Sounded like they were going back and forth for quite some distance and it went for a while. It stopped for some 10 min. maybe and then it started again but this time sounded further away. No cop sirens just the revving and banging.
