Currently in the middle of four days of drop ins...

The owners booked me for 4 days, 3 visits per day, 30 minutes each. In the future I will be asking more, and different questions of owners during M&Gs. This is my first booking of drop ins since I started Rover. Overall the drop ins have been going great but I feel really bad for one of the dogs. I figured they would leave me instructions for letting them out and sleeping arrangements, feeding, house rules, etc.

They did say they left instructions on the counter, and all there was, was feeding instructions. Their small dog was crated and the other was chilling in their bedroom. I texted to specify if this was a bed time thing, or any time no one is home thing. She confirmed that it is any time no one is home the little one should be crated. I asked if anyone else would be coming to check on the dogs or be with them. She confirmed not. So this dog, for four days, will have a total of 1.5 hours out of his crate every day. Just enough to eat, go potty, and chase ball a little bit. They told me they didn't expect me to walk them (and I am thinking, "that ain't even included in a 30 minute drop in" lmao). This is what the owners were ok with.

I have been trying to prolong my visits a bit, but at the end of day two, the dog wasn't wanting to go back into the crate ( don't blame them).

As I mentioned, in the future I will definitely be asking people how long they expect their dogs to be in a crate, etc. and insist on more time or visits. It just blows my mind that they were ok with this for their dog. I can't wait till I can get more reviews and don't have to be the cheapest option attracting the cheapest people.
