Smurfs ruin this game for newer players.

I’ve recently got into rocket league and the amount of Smurf’s I run into is insane. It’s not a couple times a day thing - it’s an every other game thing. I know this has probably been discussed several times but, is there nothing they can do about this? I can only assume it’s a huge turn off for new players like myself.
