R1S Dual Standard (2025): Question about poor max range/battery drain

I picked up my R1S Dual Standard (2nd gen) last Monday in New Jersey. So far I've loved it, but my only complaints are about the poor sound system, laggy UI and disappointing battery performance. During this first week driving in All Purpose mode, I've noticed two things about the battery:

• When charged to 100%, the range shows as around 240-244 miles, which is well below the 270 miles advertised. Is this something to be concerned about? Or should I chalk this up to the cold weather?
• The battery drain when driving mostly local so far seems disappointingly fast. For example: I topped up to 100% a couple days ago, and this morning after drop-offs and driving to work, I parked the car at 90% with just ~9.5 miles driven during this trip (which I started to track after topping up to 100%). Is this to be expected during winter months? If I turned off proximity unlock/lock at home, would it help with phantom draining (which doesn't seem too bad so far)?
