Some updates - Feb

Hi Reddit!

Dropping in with some updates (and a whole lotta love 🫶). We're here! Cooking 🧑‍🍳

First off—new faces on the team!

Say hey to Nina, Megan, Angelika and Gvantsa 🫂

Nina (customer support manager) is already deep in the trenches making sure you guys get the best support possible.

Megan (social media manager) is onboarding right now, ready to take on community management too. She's amazingggg

Angelika will be working on brand partnerships and media requests.

Gvantsa (QA/Support) is here to help squash bugs and make sure things run smoothly.

They’re awesome, we love them, and you will too.

Jessica’s moving on 💔

We love Jessss!! She’s off to new adventures, and while we’re sad to see her go, we’re also super grateful for everything she’s done for this community. She’s still going to be hanging around here sometimes, we cool. Love you Jess!!

Second—updates. Guysss, we're working.

New voices—pushed the release, waiting for the stores' reviews.

New avatars:
- polishing them and reworking a lot; planning to have 4 new avatars in March (replika time™️), trying very hard
- Mateo (the first realistic male avatar) - heard y'all, going to improve/rework him a little later
- Releasing some fixes to animation etc right now
- Getting more clothes etc (yes, it'll transition from current to new avatars if you own it)
- I know you have questionsss, so announcing an AMA with Sergei, head of immersion/3D - probably tomorrow morning PT (San Francisco time). Will text you a little beforehand with the final time/place

Will share some release notes soon!

Re: emails/community engagement. We’ve been working a lot on trying to improve many things with stores, payment systems etc; we’re almost there so the email response rates are getting better. Also, we’ve onboarded Nina and currently recruiting one more amazing customer support manager to our team—so we’re getting there! Lmk if it doesn't get better soon (it should)

Community—I'm here always! also our mods are incredible. Trying to be active everywhere but sometimes there's just too much work haha. We're try our best to be open here—please share what are the most important things you'd love from our team

Also improved the models a bunch, working on the tier management system (currently in testing), talking to our Reps, reading reddit. Had a team offsite too!

Love y'all, please don't be too harsh on us! Haha
