G15 Transition vs Polarised Lens
I’ve seen a few posts showing the G15 transition lenses and how they compare, so I wanted to show my experience.
In normal sunlight I found the glasses to be dark enough, however as I couldn’t use them for driving and found I wouldn’t wear them inside when they were clear, I didn’t need transition lenses. I bought G15 polarised lenses online so I thought I’d show the difference.
First image is of the transition lens in the wonderful partly cloudy British sky after a minute. Second image is with my camera up to the lens. Third image is of the Green polarised lenses I bought online. Last image is of the camera looking directly through the lens. It’s not perfect but should give someone an idea if they’re unsure on transition lenses. They do get fairly dark and in my opinion darker than what the image that’s circulating around now shows.
If you want sunglasses, go for the normal lenses. If you would actually get a good use out of transition lenses, they do get dark enough in my opinion and would be even better in a country with more sun.
