Is it possible/beneficial to run Arc V2 Cummerbund on SPC?

I just got an SPC and really torn on which cummerbund to go with. The Equinox seems to be the overwhelming choice but I came across Shaw's V2 Cummerbund and it seems like it'd be better than the Equinox since it has both the larger 4" tube AND the 2 straps that allow for lower mounting to rear bag. How come this combo isn't more widely used or recommended?

Im looking for something structural, allows for easy on/off (hence the tubes), and can some day hold side bags.
