Sockless (lawless) people walking through studio

At my studio there is a sign stating you have to be wearing socks past the door and yet people will walk into the area where we are all about to be faces to the ground IN THEIR BARE FEET. I am so grossed out by this. Is this normal? Am I being ridiculous? Like my face is about to be where your foot just was and I realize a sock isn’t a faultless barrier but it’s better than nothing 🫠
