Adjustment Payment Clarification
I have an automated system that tracks and reports underpaid studies after 22 days. So far, Prolific has always provided me with an adjustment, but I never calculated it myself and just accepted their figures. Today, I did the math, and I'm curious about how they determine the adjustments, as it seems incorrect based on my calculations. I've attached my question in the email. If anyone has insights on this, I would greatly appreciate your input!
My question:
Thank you! I've always found the rates to be a bit confusing. Would you mind clarifying how you determined that £0.07 ($0.09) helps meet the minimum pay of $8/hr?
Adding $0.09 increases the payment to $0.25. The average completion time for this study is listed as 2.33 minutes, which calculates to an hourly payment of $6.44. This amount is still $1.56 below the minimum requirement.
UPDATE: I just received adjustments for two additional underpaid studies, and after recalculating, it appears that those two adjustments correctly meet the minimum requirement. It appears that the previous issue was likely an honest miscalculation.
UPDATE 2: They replied that it was a mistake in their calculations, and they added to the adjustment. Great support!
