UK-NI number requirement 17th Jan

Im 50/50 about providing my NI number after 17th Jan.Im not planning on tax dodging and will unlikely have any liability this year anyway so its not about that..Just wondering how others feel.Is there any risk by handing over this sensitive date?Prolific already have our ID anyway.
