Any recommendations for fast-paced action-filled titles that focus on a single character?
Does anyone have any recommendations for titles (books, web novels, light novels, etc) that focus on the main character and action/fight scenes?
Bonus if there is an actual objective the Mc is working towards (like in cradle where Lindon is getting stronger specifically to save his home from the dread-god).
Examples of stuff I liked:
- I really liked primal hunter except for the chapters that focus on all the various side characters. I just wanted to focus on the Mc going through dungeons and defeating monsters.
- I liked “solo leveling” because it focused on the Mc getting stronger then building up his army and clearing the dungeons. Yes, there were scenes with side characters but not so much that it made up any significant portion of any single book (as far as I remember).
- I liked “so I’m a spider so what” when it focused on the spider Mc and her fighting and levelling up/getting new skills but hated every other part that had to do with the supporting characters to the point I eventually dropped the series. About maybe 1/3 of each book was dedicated to entire chapters of supporting characters
- Cradle was great but I slogged through the first two books. Yes, there were chapters that focused on other characters but those were mainly yerin (who was written well and also progressing) and not very many others (again as far as I remember).
- Dungeon crawler Carl is objectively great but the pacing was too slow for me and there were too many subplots for me after only two books.
- HWFWM - not for me.
