store bought bowl is pinging

My friend got me this cheap matcha set from target for christmas that came with a ceramic chawan bowl and I've used it a couple times. yesterday was the first time I noticed the pinging noise when it was sitting on the counter, and I thought maybe I was just imagining it but it happened again today. I wouldn't expect a store bought bowl to have glaze issues, has anyone else had this happen before? I assume I probably shouldn't use it anymore? I haven't noticed any cracks or crazing but now I'm worried it'll somehow just randomly break one day.
