The game crash when I use surf

Hello, I need some help. Don't know how to fix this. I am in the Vivill warehouse mission and after I went to the flooded lab floor or something like that, where you need to use surf, the game froze up and made weird noises. I reload and try again, same thing in same place, but now I realized that it happens every time I try to use surf in other places and/or after I leave towns. Someone has a fix or know why this happens?
