last try to play Pokémon on switch, maybe you guys have tips?

In my childhood I‘ve loved to play Pokémon on my DS. My favorite was SoulSilver and Diamond. A few years ago I bought Pokémon Sword but it didn’t catch me. Today I‘ll buy Pokémon Legends Arceus. Hopefully I will enjoy it like in the old days.

Question to you guys: Are the games on the Switch less cool than the older games or did I maybe just chose the wrong game to start playing again?
