Synology 423+, first time NAS user

Have yet to buy because I want to make sure I know what I'm doing and don't make a bad purchase. I've been running my PMS off of my W11 PC off of an external 4TB HDD for a while now and am considering buying a NAS to save on electricity and to have it run 24/7. I have absolutely no information or idea on how to use or run a NAS, but I'm pretty well-versed in computers and am confident I could figure it out with a couple tutorials. Is there anyone here with experience with this NAS? I'm going to get 2x 10TB WD Red Plus NAS drives and I've also been told to get the additional Synology 4GB of ram and the (super overpriced) 400GB Synology SSD. Is there anything else I should get or anything I shouldn't? Any help, advice, or opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

edit: also have gigabit wifi speeds if it's important (roughly 125MB/s down & 90MB/s up)
