Suggest game for new ps user

Hi everyone, I’m new to PlayStation and just bought my first PS Digital console! Can anyone recommend a good game to start with? Also, I’d appreciate your advice on whether it’s better to get a PlayStation Plus subscription or just buy individual games. Which option do you think is better?
