Bazaar Refund - Changed Game Direction - Is a Credit Card Chargeback Justified?
I'm looking for some community feedback on a situation with the game Bazaar. I invested $114 in the "Founder's Pack Tier 3" during the closed beta, supporting the game based on its initial direction and promises.
Recently, the developers announced a significant change in the game's direction, specifically, switching from a free-to-play model to pay to be meta, This change essentially means the game is no longer the product I initially paid for and supported.
I've already contacted their support, but haven't received a satisfactory response regarding a refund.
Given these circumstances, I'm considering contacting my credit card company to initiate a chargeback.
My question is: Do you think a chargeback is justified in this situation? Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Bazaar or other early access/beta games? What are your thoughts on developers changing a game's direction after receiving significant financial backing?
I'm looking for honest opinions and advice. Thanks in advance!
