Thread for Similar Games
So yall heard the news?
This was the first game I've been involved in this early in its development. I thought it would be so cool to be in so early for a game that'll last so long. Unfortunately, I'm not going to continue playing.
I'm sure a lot of people are feeling the same. I've seen a few recommendations floating around in the sub, but would love a place where people can discuss game recommendations. I'll start here:
Deck-Building Roguelikes
- Slay the Spire ($8.49) is a well-known classic, generally considered the best in the genre. It's 66% off right now! The sequel is coming out sometime soon, this is a great chance to get used to its mechanics.
- Balatro ($14.99) just won multiple awards at the Game Awards. Fantastic graphics, super fun gameplay, hundreds of hours of replayability, and so much polish.
- Inscryption ($19.99) graphics and story-heavy roguelike that has a very unique atmosphere. Most roguelikes and deck builders don't have great stories, so this is a great breath of fresh air.
Auto-Battlers
- Super Auto Pets (Free!) is a great auto-battler. While not as flashy as the Bazaar, it has stood the test of time and has a more friendly monetization system.
