How Competitive can this truly be?
I'm looking forward to leveling up to 30 so I can grind competitive like I do in every game.
However, given the insane amount of silly, fun, cards in the game, what does that mean for competitive?
I noticed that Competitive had its own card deck, so I thought "Cool, they probably took out like 20 of the silly cards", but it looks like there is only 7 removed from the competitive deck when compared to the regular.
I like how this game feels arcadey and different than valorant-type tactical shooters. However, for competitive, what does it mean if the silly, out-there cards are kept in?
***Edit: To clarify, its not that you cant strategize with the all knife card. Its moreso that the existence of the knife card itself makes it less competitive. Like, how the double jump card (not that anyone gets it from what I've seen lol) or slide card makes it less competitive because it deviates so strongly from the mechanics of the game.
Imagine the card that makes people shoot every 5 seconds. Its SO strong. And its really funny. But in competitive? It just... feels bad. Either 1 team gets it (due to RNG), or they make it so both get it, which makes it fair but then its still ruins competitive because its such a.... silly card. Not tactical, completely distracts from gunplay and ability usage.
The game is obviously arcadey in a lot of ways, compared to a standard tactical shooter. And thats really fun and interesting. But when it comes to competitive? I feel like its hard for people to take it seriously when you have silly/OP things going on that deviate so strongly from a tactical or mechanical standpoint.
Hopefully that makes sense.
