How likely are you to become overweight eating WFPB without calorie counting?

I know it all boils down to CICO math but after 19 years of calorie counting I don't want to do the math anymore.

I'm at a normal weight but I want to move away from counting calories. I'm wondering if anyone here doesn't count calories, eats WFPB, and is overweight because listening to their hunger/fullness cues causes them to eat more calories than they need?

FTR I've been eating WFPB for 6 years so I'm not asking about starting a new diet as far as food choices are concerned. Thank you!
