Why would you use fitgirl over ddl?

This isn't to offend anyone who uses fitgirl and I do know fitgirl is a very trusted site.

My question is why would you use it over ddl? I've tried both fitgirl(not torrent, just ddl links) and ddl(usually from ovagames) and I have overall better experience with ddl. I get up to 50MB/s on a good day when I download the file so downloading is fast for both methods, but ddl installation takes up to 10-15 minutes whereas fitgirl takes infinitley longer.

Am I missing something? Why does so many people use fitgirl over ddl? Genuinley curious
