The Philippine Air Force (PAF) FA 50 jet went missing early Tuesday morning, its high-ranking official said.

In the latest briefing in Camp Aguinaldo, PAF Spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo said the military unit is now conducting a search operation to locate the said air asset.

The air force plane was deployed for a tactical operation and on its way to Mactan, Cebu.

The asset carried two air force pilots when it went missing.
