When people completely ignore what you say because of a minor mistake
"By the way, where did you get that gow-da from?"
"It's pronounced goo-da."
or
"At yesterday's meeting, did Sandy talk about the new vacation policies?"
"Sandy doesn't cover policies, Jeff does."
etc, followed by complete silence. .... Okay? Okay, sure, I made a mistake there, but you did understand what I was asking, right? I asked where the gouda was from. I asked about the policies. It either means that you were so caught up in getting to correct me that you completely forgot I was asking a question, or you're making me ask again "correctly" like I'm a child.
