Bad Debt written off, still collecting charges and reporting to credit report?

Back in 2021 during rough times I had roughly $1000 overdue on a credit card, long story short without the theatrics It got written off and closed (as marked on my credit report)

I never worried much of it after that, the damage was already done to my credit and collectors were calling. Until now.

Digging deep into my credit report I can see that the credit card company is still reporting to the credit bureau every month, and not only that, the overdue balance is still collecting interest. How could this be if the account was closed and wrote off?

Every month they report they up the balance by $10, and that's reflecting on my credit report via Equifax.

Is this something they're allowed to do if the account was marked and closed as "bad debt write off, account cancelled by credit grantor with derogatory rating"?
