Foxy’s Journey
I first heard about Foxy when a call came in about a little puppy who had been hit by a train at Thrissur railway station. When I found her, her tiny paw was completely crushed—there was no way to save it. I took her in, hoping that with an amputation and proper care, she would heal, regain her strength, and eventually find a loving home.
The road to recovery wasn’t easy, but Foxy’s spirit never wavered. It took three months for her to fully heal and learn to walk again. But by then, something had changed and I had fallen in love with her. Finding a home for an indie dog with a disability in Kerala was already a challenge, but deep down, I knew she was already where she belonged. So, I adopted her.
From that day on, Foxy became more than just a survivor, she became family. She has since taken on the role of a foster mom to every rescue I bring home, showering them with the same love and warmth she once needed. Sometimes, I forget she’s a tripod—she runs faster than most four-legged dogs, never once letting her missing limb define her. Foxy isn’t just an inspiration; she’s a reminder that strength isn’t about what you have, but about what you make of what’s left ❤️
