Suggestions on PRS SE Pickup Upgrade?
Howdy,
I've had my PRS SE Singlecut since 2008 and I've always loved it. It play so well for the price. Well, I'm about to have a major guitar upgrade by purchasing a high quality fender strat. The biggest shocker I noticed was how much more clarity there was in the pickups compared to my old mid range fender.
Since I'm gonna upgrade my single coil sound with the strat, I'm looking for a humbucker upgrade by adding new ones in my PRS SE. I feel like everything else on that guitar is amazing, but the sacrifice seems to be the pickups. I did some research, and all I found was that the pickups in my guitar were the "Standard PRS" pickups. Anyone have any suggestions on a good humbucker upgrade for my PRS? I'm not really looking for any sort of musical style....just pretty much overall increase in clarity with new pickups.
Also, is it not a thing that pickups come with some sort of like frequency response chart? I figured that when looking for pickups I could find some sort of chart being like "hey here's frequency range these pickups emphasize" but I haven't seen it. Am I crazy for thinking that?
