Cataracts at 13 Months

Just found out my baby has cataracts. They are bilateral in both eyes. We see a surgeon tomorrow. And he will need surgery in the next few weeks. I’m so scared about this procedure and how it will affect him throughout his life. Anybody need through this with their babies?
