New to Palia- Blank map with just a grid?

This has been happening since last night. I’m brand new to the game and honestly to most games, so I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, or it is a glitch? The entire map looks like this and even when I pin quests, they don’t show up on my compass. Help lol
