Steam: two accounts on one PC/one account across two PCs?

Heya folks! I'm pretty sure I'm good here but wanted to double check.

My kiddo and I both play Palia on our individual PCs. Sometimes I will jump on hers to help her level up a few skills or stockpile some money (Tish is making a killing off this kid I swear). I hate her computer, lol. Her mouse sensitivity is chaotic, her chair is teeny tiny, and her disco lights give me a migraine.

If I add her Steam profile to my PC, I can log on to do that from the comfort of my own disco-light-free workstation, right? I know I can't do it while she's playing a Steam game on hers, but otherwise, will progress/save files/etc all sync correctly? Anything I have to be careful of?
