Recommended sodium but I have high blood pressure?
I (24) had my first cardiologist appointment on Friday. I have had POTS symptoms for a decade. I actually passed out at the doctor’s office because they had me stand up really fast and stay standing.
Apparently when I passed out my blood pressure went up?
The doctor is still recommending sodium which seems counterintuitive when it comes to high blood pressure.
She also prescribed me beta blockers. She said that my EKG was normal but when I read the report I was tachycardic and showed possible atrial enlargement.
I don’t know. I don’t think I trust this lady.
Do I continue to keep up my sodium intake even if I may have high blood pressure issues?
