How to RP a "Last of Its Kind" Character?
Sci-fi campaign, set during the fall of the main empire of the galaxy (think of the fall of the roman empire but in space). During character creation our DM made us pull from a box one secret each and i got the "last of my species". My character, Alara, is the last of the Rihi'nar, a proud warrior species of psionic clones that fought against the main empire for most of the setting timeline and got wiped out when the empire destroyed the planet where the cloning facilites where set. Whitout the possibility to reproduce or rebuild the facilites the species is doomed and she is the last one.
Now what i'm struggling with is how to portray her. Do I go full "vengeance against the empire" mode, or a more melanchonic vibe? The fact that she is the last of her species is pretty much her defining trait, should i add more or instead build a "normal" character that also happen to be the last of its kind?
For those who need more context the setting is a homebrew Twilight Imperium with heavy influences from star wars and Stellaris. The social background for her species is a warrior culture with a ruling class of clone warriors which ruled over the civilan population of "Shaped", a subservient species of laborers (think sparta with spartans and helots).
