40 oz straw issues

Does anyone else have as hard of a time as I do drinking from the straw on the 40 oz tumblers? I’ve pulled the strap up, angled it and nothing. It’s still difficult to suck through the straw. Opening the lid helps but defeats the purpose as well as pushing the mouth spout open.

I love the free sips and hoped I would love the tumblers as well.
