Why is Overcast downloading every episode that I begin listening to?

I have ADHD and I often get bored 5 minutes in to a 2-3 hour podcast and swap to a new one, the app then downloads all of the podcasts that I started to listen to.

It wrecks my data storage and throttles my downloads, I only have a certain amount outside of WiFi and it’s constantly chewing through my usage. It’s so annoying and unnecessary.

I thought this was changed months ago, is this a bug or is it something that’s been implemented?
