In the winter of 1974, a snowstorm hit our village while we were still children studying in the first grade. As there were few cars available, we had to walk to school, a distance of about 2 miles, which took us approximately an hour. We decided to start our journey before sunrise, at least an hour ahead, so that the early dawn twilight had started to appear as we made our way towards the school.

One of the most beautiful memories from that time was seeing the land covered in white as far as the eye could see, and the joy we felt back then. I remember hesitating to enter the school upon arriving because I wanted to spend my day surrounded by the sight of snow blanketing the village - its streets, trees, yards, and even its animals like camels and sheep.

These memories still linger in my mind, and perhaps this month will bring us snow once again, although climate change has become an issue of the modern world, and maybe it would take centuries for snow to return.
