The final road Ponegliff & Uranus are in Elbaf - Níðhöggr, Jörmungandr, and Yggdrasil
I am theorising that Elbaf will reveal the final road Ponegliff, and Uranus the ancient weapon.
Originally posted in the OP subreddit but deleted for spoilers:
In the chapter 1127 spoilers we see a cat which shape-shifts into a lion, in what’s believed to be Loki’s castle.
This ties into the story of Útgarðr, Loki (the king of giants) castle. In this tale, Thor is challenged to lift a cat, which is later revealed to be the world serpent (Jörmungandr).
In Norse mythology there is Yggdrasil, an immense tree tied to life and death. It is said that everything exists around this tree, including the nine worlds.
Jörmungandr is said to surround the whole of Yggdrasil, an entity I believe we will be introduced to in chapter 1127. The shapeshifting cat appears powerful, requiring the monster trio to “take it down” (may be some trickery here, based on Loki’s track record).
Niðhoggr is said to be at the root of Yggdrasil, not in any of the nine realms. It is a powerful dragon, which started pointing me towards Uranus. Níð was a term for a social stigma, implying the loss of honor and the status of a villain. The name literally means “malice striker”.
Niðhoggr is a force of great destruction & deity of destruction, similar to how the ancient weapons are described in One Piece. It is also a dragon, which relates to Uranus, a personification of the sky.
I believe the ancient weapons to be living things, after Shirahoshi was revealed to be Poseidon. Therefore, it does not seem like a stretch that this deity dragon of destruction could be the ancient weapon Uranus.
Now, to Yggdrasil, the tree of life. I believe that the final road Ponegliff will be hidden at the roots of this tree, mimicking how the Ponegliff in Zou was hidden inside a great tree.
It makes sense that the Straw Hats would encounter Jörmungandr first, who is in the nine realms and surrounds the entire tree. The final destination could lead to the bottom of this tree, where Niðhoggr resides, as well as the final road Ponegliff.
Even more speculatively here, the Elbaf arc could be tied around trials in the nine worlds. Utgarðr is a tale about trials and deception faced by Thor & co, against embodiments of fire, age, thought, and more.
This theme of trials could carry through the entire arc, differing from previous arcs and making Elbaf stand out. The straw hats will discover Uranus & the final road Ponegliff during this arc, nearing the end of their journey, and the final war.
This also relates to Zoro's seemingly out of character line about Luffy being "pathetic" for an emperor of the sea, which could be foreshadowing defeat by Loki due to his trickery. Just like Thor & his companions were defeated in Utgardr despite their god-like power, Luffy & his companions will face defeat in spite of their god-like power.
Further, deer are said to eat among the branches of Yggdrasil, this could relate to why Chopper appears missing at the beginning of this arc. Also I won’t be shocked if the land of Elbaf follows the structure of Yggdrasil somewhat, with the land being more than just a regular island. The tree will be central to the story.
So, yeah. Elbaf will result in the discovery of Uranus & the final road Ponegliff for these reasons.
edit: Nidhoggr may not be Uranus after further thought, but I believe they & Yggdrasil will be central to the Elbaf arc.
