Why is he forgotten?

I’m going to preface this by saying I grew up a Vikings fan with Carter being the star during my teen years. So I may be bias, but I still can’t help but wonder.

I always find myself asking, “Why isn’t Carter on this list or that list?” I read a list of 25 best players from the Super Bowl era to never win a Super Bowl. Carter wasn’t even an honorable mention.

This blows me away. I mean, he was the best receiver of the ‘90s, hands down. When he retired, only Jerry Rice had better historical numbers.

I understand a few younger receivers have passed his stats, but let’s be honest, it’s way more of a passing league now. So it’s kind of not surprising.

Anyway, I’ll never understand why Carter is always forgotten when it comes to remembering the greatest receivers.
