Travel OT salary

Hi everyone, I got a 30 minute lecture from a professor telling me to ditch OT and go into nursing. I’ve always been called to do OT but after looking at the facts, numbers, loans and salary, it scared me. Then I also learned about travel OT. They make a close amount to what a travel nurse does, so I think. Is this true? Any travel OTs want to share their salary, experience, expenses, and loan repayment process?
