Scan QR not working

I been using the phone 1 for more than 4 months, and so far no issues at all, until yesterday. I tried to scan a QR from the control access (swipping down) and the screen is totally black. I can see the QR frame, the flash option and I can close it but nothing on the screen. The camera works perfect and if I read the QR code from the camera app, it works.

Last week I did the latest update (1.5.4), but I don't recall if I use the QR reader after that or not, so it could be a reason.

Any idea if what could be the issue here and what can I do to fix it?
