Why do some people love loud cars?

It’s a beautiful Sunday. I’m laying here looking out the window. It’s a slightly busy street. Every so often, someone comes along revving their engine. Either a motorcycle, or a car which has been modified to make it loud. I can’t think of any reason for doing that. Please tell me. Edit to add: these responses are all over the place. I see some of you are downvoting others of you, which makes me know that I’m definitely not the only person dealing with the frustration of the loud engines
