How much money would the government have to pay you to live in the countryside?

Workplace chat going over whether some of us could live in the countryside or not(countryside being things like least than 100-150 people in a graduating class, having to go 45-60 minutes to the store (or at least major store), etc). I have seen places like Japan do initiatives to get people into the countryside by paying them. How much would you need to be payed to see it worth it to lose a lot of what can be seen as convenience of the city?
