Gifting on the anomaly or no?

So i have like 400+hrs into this game, most of my stuffbis S-tier with full inventory and tech, so i DO NOT use the storage augmentations, ever. I have a whole storage container that gets periodically filled, (aswell as other random, high value items)

In short, my fanances are set too, so selling stuff seems redundant. Typically, what ill do is go gift any of my extra stuff to people on the Anomaly. Last night while i was doing this, i dumpmed a bunch of random stuff into peoples inventory, and when i closed out of my exosuit, i saw someone had commented "(my player name) just out here ruining peoples games" and it had occured to me, that this DOES infact kind of remove a huge portion of grinding, which could be kind of game breaking for some people, and now im left wondering, what is the common consesus for gifting on the Anomaly? I always loved getting high value and unique items, or tech from strangers, so i had assumed it was a welcome thing. Are some items okay and others arent?

EDIT: Community seems pretty content on sharing gifts, so ill keep doing it. However, i will now be doing it in the open deck area infront of the nexus, and to dancing/sitting players so im not disrupting anyone elses game. Currently about to stock up on tainted metal and go gift some more.
